Emergency/Trauma Services
Delnor’s Emergency Department treats approximately
38,000 patients each year, and each year those numbers continue to rise. This
28,500 square foot facility has been designed to be the ultimate emergency
facility. Every detail was carefully thought out in order to provide
emergency patients and their families with the best possible outcome and
experience.
Designated as a Level II Trauma Center by the State of Illinois, Delnor’s
Emergency Department has received recognition that it has the expertise and
resources to treat people with severe, often life-threatening, illnesses and
injuries. A board certified emergency medicine physician is on duty at all
times, and trauma surgeons and other specialists are available within minutes,
24 hours a day.
Delnor is also a designated Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics
(EDAP), which ensures that the hospital has the appropriate resources,
capabilities and trained personnel to provide management and stabilization of a
critically ill or injured child.
The hospital also serves as the resource hospital for
the Southern Fox Valley Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. In this
role, Delnor is responsible for providing education and training for new and
current paramedics and emergency medical technicians throughout the
year.
